Iām Isabel ā a self-taught contemporary botanical artist and freelance writer based in Cape Town. I paint intuitively, building layered florals that carry movement, colour and a sense of becoming.
My work explores inner growth, resilience and the quiet contradictions within ā strength and softness, control and surrender. Botanical forms become a mirror for that inner landscape: familiar, shifting, alive.
I work across acrylic, oil pastel, ink, watercolour and mixed media. Each painting begins loose and responsive, then slowly resolves into something that feels both grounded and open-ended.

Creative Process
